Please read these terms carefully. By using the Titano app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. What Titano is
Titano is a consumer convenience tool that uses your device's camera and on-device text recognition to read the text on food ingredient labels and compare it against a list of ingredients you choose to avoid. It is intended as a reading aid for dietary preferences and intolerances.
2. Not a medical device; no medical or safety advice
Titano is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, or management of any allergy or medical condition, and must not be relied upon for allergy-safety or other health-critical decisions. If you have a food allergy or medical condition, consult a qualified professional and always read the product packaging yourself.
3. Titano can be wrong
Text recognition can misread or miss text; labels can be unclear, damaged, misprinted, in an unsupported language, or changed by the manufacturer; and risks such as cross-contamination are frequently not stated on the label. A result of "Nothing flagged" means only that the app did not detect a listed term in the text it read — it is not a statement that a product is safe. You are solely responsible for verifying every product against its actual packaging before consuming it.
4. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the app or its results. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
6. Licence
You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for your own personal use, subject to these terms and the App Store terms.
7. Privacy
Titano processes label images on your device. It does not collect or transmit your personal data. See the App Store privacy details.
8. Changes
These terms may be updated; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
